And yet they move. Anthropology of bodies in action
13 novembre 2019

For a long time now, bodies have entered the social sciences, creating a new paradigm for knowledge. Some great thinkers had in fact placed in the centre of their reflections the theme of corporeality as the new subjectivity, taking on board the experience of the social movements. Antonio Gramsci, Michel Foucault, Pierre Bourdieu,Thomas Csordas, Paolo Virno and Judith Butler with their varying ways of conceiving the incorporation and the transformational capacities of thought have however worked on the possibility of changing reality via bodies.
But what happens when the body is in action? And if they are plural bodies, what is the thread of alliance which sustains them? Is it ungraspable? The conference will try to show that the body is always endowed with an ability to act, hence always involved in the plural dimension of the community.
